Wuawee connecting mobile phones with social networks

I am wondering how they got myspace on board with this, it’s certainly a step in the right direction for me and many others to be able to more easily connect to the myspace silo. It’s a great idea, but it’s not free. A desktop widget and a cell phone app that lets you upload photos to myspace and facebook (among others) – and chat. I do not use the myspace IM client, but I do have some friends that do, so perhaps they will test this out. Not sure how many people will try it, but if the payments are cheap enough the cost may just be forgotten. We’ll see.

It’s called Wuaweeinfo found at Techcrunch.

My new look

Have upgraded my WordPress platform in order to take advantage of all the new abilities it offers such as tags and widgets. I have to say I am very impressed with the overall look of this new upgrade and as you can see on my blog I now have a lot more sidebar content. I had some issues with the upgrade but went back threw and hand edited most posts so now my blog should be all cleaned up and looking pretty once again. I may go with a different theme in the coming weeks because right now I have a 2 column and I want at least a 3 maybe a 4 column theme to add more sidebar content like my Delicious and Technorati widgets.

Widgets 1.0 Requirements: Working Draft

Widgets 1.0 Requirements: Working Draft

From the W3C News

“The Web Application Formats Working Group has released an updated Working Draft of Widgets 1.0 Requirements. These design goals are the requirements for device-independent standards for scripting, digitally signing, securing, packaging and deploying client-side Web applications (widgets). Also known as gadgets or modules, widgets are small programs like clocks, stock tickers, news casters, games and weather forecasters that display and update remote data and run on the Web browser environment. Read about Rich Web Clients.”

They have a really great graphic on the W3C web site showing the inner workings of a widget, which is really cool.
