The GSM Association’s 12th Global Mobile Awards begins with an official call for entries and culminates into a glittering night of celebration with winners taking to the stage of Barcelona’s spectacular National Palace on Tuesday February 13th 2007. These awards are now an established centrepiece of the world’s largest and most successful mobile industry event, the 3GSM World Congress (Barcelona (12-15 February 2007).Celebrating the highest achievements across the mobile industry, the awards categories for 2007 are specially designed to recognise the wealth of talent, ingenuity and creativity from all corners of the mobile industry’s global eco-system. Encompassing Mobile Innovation, Mobile Entertainment, Enterprise and Messaging Services, Handset and Technical categories among others, the awards scheme also affords a celebration of yet another year of fast pace growth and progress. New this year are the ‘Bridging the Digital Divide’ Awards, created to demonstrate and the unique role of mobile communications today by connecting people, communities and nations, and driving the social and economic fabric of countries throughout the world.
